Common reasons the Court may deny requests for payment include:

  • Requests for payments that are not legal services;
  • Entries that lack adequate detail;
  • Tasks that involve multiple attorneys without explaining why multiple attorneys were needed;
  • Requests for reimbursement for clerical tasks; and
  • Lumping of services.
